St Peter’s is a new two-form entry primary school in Gloucester, which replaces a previous school on the same site. It is part of a phased development including a new nursery building by the same team, and demolition of the existing school.
The building includes a biomass boiler as the primary heating source. The windows are automatically controlled by the building management system and the scheme includes a number of other low energy features.
The building has achieved the BREEAM “Excellent” rating and won several awards including the RIBA South West Sustainability Award 2013.
