The project at Grade I listed Powis Castle started with a series of surveys of the electrical power, heating and domestic hot water systems. The aim of the work was to produce a comprehensive record of the existing systems and advise on a strategy to address current issues and plan for long term enhancements. This includes an appraisal of options for decarbonisation of the site by installing low carbon heating technologies, to replace or supplement the existing gas fired boilers.

Following the options appraisal our commission has been extended to carrying out the detailed design of a complex rewiring project throughout the castle.  The work involves working sensitively around existing features such as oak panelled walls, and cornice details.  The project will be delivered in several phases.
