The new two storey visitor centre for Lisvane and Llanishen reservoirs in South Wales is set in a designated site of special scientific interest, a few miles outside of Cardiff.

The centre is a hub for water sports and outdoor activities, providing changing rooms, showers, toilets for water sports, training rooms for the local community, an education hub and a café serving local produce.

A heat recovery ventilation system operates within the changing rooms, and wastewater heat recovery systems are installed to recover waste heat from showers. A commercial café / restaurant is located on the first floor with services hidden from view to maximise views across the two reservoirs.

A generous photovoltaic array is located on the roof to maximise renewable energy generation.
