A new six classroom building for Hazlegrove School in Somerset. The building has a double height atrium which can be used as a performance and gathering space. It is naturally ventilated throughout with excellent daylight levels.

The building is heated using underfloor heating served from an LPG boiler. Automatic daylight dimming controls used for classroom lighting to reduce energy consumption and internal heat gains. The structure in the main space is exposed on view which required careful coordination to conceal pipework and wiring.
