Chipping Sodbury Sports centre is a local authority building located at the main school campus to provide sports facilities for the school and for the local community.
The four-court main hall is naturally ventilated through automatic inlet vents in the façade, with air extracted through natural wind cowls at roof level. The incoming air is preheated to ensure that the temperature of the air is controlled at all times. The main hall is heated using high level water based radiant panels, with underfloor heating in the changing rooms, which also have heat recovery mechanical ventilation throughout. The building has a full sprinkler system for property protection purposes.
