We strive to create a working environment that brings the best out of people and encourages collaboration. Good design requires a combination of skills including creative, analytical and communication skills, and we aim to create a culture that allows people to flourish in all areas.
Our main office is in an open-plan studio located on the outskirts of the City of Bath. The building is a former print works which was converted to offices in the early 2000s. Our studio is a double height space, generously daylit with windows and rooflights. It is located close the river Avon and being on the edge of the city means that our team regularly cycle, run, walk and even wild swim in their lunch breaks. Our London studio is in an open-plan co-working office in Angel, where the beer fridge opens at 2pm on a Friday.
We operate a flexible working policy where the focus is on delivery and output rather than clock-watching. The aim to allow staff the freedom to organise working hours to best suit them.
We encourage a collaborative atmosphere of open dialogue between the whole team. We hold weekly team meetings where we share ideas, review projects and discuss emerging technology and design standards over a shared lunch.
We engage in a broad range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to make sure we keep our finger on the pulse of wider issues within the construction, architecture and engineering sectors.
We are committed to the development of young engineers and each year we offer 12 month undergraduate placement opportunities for students from Bath and Bristol University. We actively engage in the promotion of engineering and the Partners are involved in University teaching.
