This project was a new stand-alone primary school and pre-school located in Staunton-On-Wye, in Hereford.

The main aim for the building was to merge it with the landscape by using the physical layout of the site, local natural and sustainable building materials and maximising the use of natural light and ventilation. For example, the percentage of glazing on each façade is calculated to provide the school with maximum solar gain as well as sufficient ventilation. In addition, biomass and other technologies are included to reduce the carbon emissions of the school.
