A new art, drama, and design technology building for West Buckland School in Devon. The scheme is a highly insulated timber framed building with glue laminated beams and columns and solid timber walls and floor structure. Following a detailed appraisal of suitable renewable energy technologies for the main heating plant, it was decided to install a wood pellet boiler in the basement plant room. The scheme includes a displacement ventilation system to the studio theatre space.  The classrooms are heated with an underfloor heating system and natural ventilation is automatically controlled. Completed April 2010.
