A conversion of a former pub near Piccadilly in London, the scheme comprised 3 levels of prestigious retail space with an apartment occupying the top two levels. The brief for the retail space was to provide a high quality environment with clean detailing. We developed a strategy to use air source heat pump technology, with fan coil units concealed within a false wall detail eliminating the need for an accessible ceiling.  Other features included a concealed retail security tag system and the use of dimmable batten fluorescent luminaires integrated within a trough detail in the ceiling, both of which contributed to reducing the number visible components and equipment. Completed July 2007.
