Andy Jarvis. Bsc Hons, CEng, MCIBSE

Andy read Building Engineering and Management at Brunel University, West London, where he specialised in Building Services and graduated with honours (BSc) in 1983.

Following graduation he joined Arup in their Cardiff office, followed by a period at Surrey County Council working on Education and Care Facility buildings.

He rejoined Arup in their London office working on a range of commercial and arts projects, where he was made an Associate and in due course was promoted to Associate Director. Andy relocated to Arup’s Bristol office, where he co-led the Building Services group for 5 years.

He joined Ernest Griffiths Consulting Engineers in 2004 to set up the Bath office, and became a partner in 2006.  He became a founding partner of E3 Consulting Engineers following the restructuring of Ernest Griffiths in 2010.

Through his career Andy has developed extensive experience in the commercial, residential, arts and education sectors. He has particular interest in sustainable buildings including the incorporation of renewable technologies. Over the years Andy has been involved in a number of high profile arts projects.  He is also involved in teaching at the University of Bath where he is a visiting tutor for the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and has lectured at the ISBA in 2011.

Andy is a chartered engineer and Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
